These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Ride Konnect website and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using this website or any of its services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

About Ride Konnect

Ride Konnect is an online platform that allows users to:
* Rent a car for personal or business use.
* Buy a car directly from listed sellers.
* List their cars for rent or for sale.
* Ride Konnect acts solely as an intermediary connecting vehicle owners and customers. The platform does not own, rent, or sell cars directly, nor is it responsible for any agreement made between the two parties.

Eligibility

* You must be at least 18 years old.
* You must provide accurate and verifiable personal and vehicle information.
* You agree to use the platform in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations of Rwanda.
* By registering or listing a vehicle, you confirm that all information you provide is true, complete, and up to date.

Listing a Car for Rent or Sale

Car owners can add their vehicles by providing in details such as:
* Car name, brand/model, and year of manufacture.
* VIN/Chassis number (optional but recommended for verification).
* Color, transmission type, number of doors, seating capacity, and fuel type.
* Car condition (e.g., new, used, or very good).
* Price, rental rate, negotiability, and location.
* Additional features, images, and description.

By submitting a car listing, you agree that:
* You are the legal owner or authorized agent of the vehicle.
* The car information and images you provide are accurate and truthful.
* You will not list any car under false ownership or with misleading information.

Ride Konnect reserves the right to review, verify, approve, or reject any listing that does not meet our quality or authenticity standards.

Verification and Approval

All submitted car listings are reviewed by the Ride Konnect team for authenticity.
* Verification may take up to 72 hours.
* Ride Konnect may contact you for additional documentation or clarification.
* If any information is found to be false or unverifiable, the listing will be rejected or removed from the platform.

Payments and Fees

* Payments can be made through cash, mobile money, debit/credit cards, or any other accepted method as agreed between the car owner and the renter or buyer.
* Ride Konnect is not responsible for any disputes, misunderstandings, or issues that may arise between the car owner and the client regarding payments or transactions. However, Ride Konnect may assist both parties in resolving such matters amicably when necessary. In cases requiring legal intervention, Ride Konnect may guide the involved parties on appropriate legal steps to take.

Cancellation and Refunds

Car owners may specify their own cancellation policy, such as:
* Free cancellation before a certain number of hours.
* Partial refund or non-refundable terms for late cancellations.
* Renters or buyers are encouraged to read and agree to the owner's cancellation policy before signing a contract with the car owner.
* Ride Konnect does not issue refunds on behalf of any party.

Security Deposits and Traffic Fines for car renting

* Car owners may request a security deposit when renting out their vehicles to cover potential damages, late returns, or unpaid traffic fines.
* The deposit amount and refund terms must be clearly outlined and agreed upon in the rental agreement before the vehicle is handed over.
* Renters are fully responsible for any traffic violations, parking fines, or penalties incurred during the rental period.
* Ride Konnect is not responsible for disputes related to deposits, fines, or damages but may assist both parties in resolving such matters amicably if needed.

Ownership and Legal Compliance

Car owners must ensure they possess valid registration and ownership papers for their vehicles.
* You may be required to provide copies of ownership documents during verification.
* Vehicles must be roadworthy, insured, and compliant with regulations.
* Ride Konnect reserves the right to suspend or delete any listings that fail to meet legal standards or appear suspicious.

Liability Disclaimer

Ride Konnect does not own the vehicles listed on its platform. Therefore, we:
* Are not responsible for the condition, quality, or performance of any listed vehicle.
* Are not liable for damages, accidents, losses, or injuries resulting from the use of rented or purchased vehicles.
* Users agree to use the platform at their own risk.

Prohibited Activities

Users must not:
* Upload false or misleading information.
* Post copyrighted or stolen images.
* Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.
* Use the platform to spam, harass, or scam other users.
* Violations of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.

Privacy Policy

By using Ride Konnect, you consent to the collection and processing of personal information such as your name, contact details, and car-related data, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your information will be used solely for car rental or car purchase services and will not be shared or used for any other purpose.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Ride Konnect website, including the logo, text, images, design, and layout, are the intellectual property of Ride Konnect. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of this website without prior written consent.

Changes to the Terms

Ride Konnect reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website. Continued use of the platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

Ride Konnect may suspend or terminate your account if:
* You violate these Terms.
* You provide false information.
* You engage in fraudulent activity.
* Upon termination, your access to the platform and any active listings may be permanently removed.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Rwanda.
Any disputes arising from the use of Ride Konnect shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration within Rwanda.
